Decoration: nature obsession

Which colour is better than green? Plants, plants and more plants!

As you know, I'm not a big fan of decorating rooms (and a bit lazy) so I just buy interiors and put them in my suite. 

But this time I was bored of having the same backgrounds so I ended up creating a new room!

One of my favourite ways to match the room with my outfit is with paintings. And that's what I did:

But I felt like this needed some... colour, like a plant.

I started seeking plants in the suite shop and couldn't choose one (I'm a freak of plants haha), so I bought several plants! And then I found I cute chair, and a cute table... And started adding more and more items and this is what came up:

I like the presence of nature here. The materials and the colours transmite me peace and calm, contrasting with the black of the table, painting and lamp.

This place inspired me to make a new outfit in harmony with the natural things.

And... this is the result:

Decoration: Outfit inspiration

I created this outfits, and wanted to post it as OOTD. But I couldn't find the perfect background for it so I started adding a few items to my room and ended up making a complete room around my outfit.

And this is the result:

Decoration: sergioa

I've never been good at decoration here in Stardoll. Honestly, I prefer spending my money in clothes than in furniture. That's why I really admire people who has beautiful suites!

Today I wanted to show you the suite of sergioa

I love these rooms because they follow the same style: a play of grey planes (walls and floors) with sutil additions of bright colours in different shapes that caught the eye.

Decoration: How important is the background?

Sometimes we spend a lot of time thinking about what to wear, and when we get the perfect outfit... 

Now what?

The background over which we put our doll is as important as the outfit she's wearing. Why? If we choose the correct one, we can make our doll stand out.

The colours, the shape, the textures... of the clothing and furniture have to be consistent.

Let's see some examples, comparing a correct background and another which is not (from my point of view, as always!):

In the first picture, there's armony of colours and everything seems to be in its place. The second background isn't really bad, but the colours really don't match correctly.

Again the same background (first picture) is the one that better works, because the outfit has the same colours as the furniture. In the other picture (second one), the sweater gets confused with the wall because they both are white. Also the brown details of the look doesn't match well with the black and white room.

Both pictures have an armony of colours, but the problem (again) is that in the second one the black sweater gets confused with the black wall. However, in the first picture, the sweater stands out.

In the first time, the total white outfit stands out from the dark brown room, however, in the second room it doesn't because the wall is also white and the floor is also a light colour.

Always I make a new outfit, I think automatically which background could be the best to stand out it.

Everything is important, so pay attention to these details!
