So, my fave during all the contest and also my fave in this task is the_chuba. Always on point in every outfit she makes!

what a crazy month! I've been soooo busy that I did not even have time for following the cycle and I missed a looot of things... Finals? Yet? What has happened here? haha

I need to catch up on the cycle...

TASK 6: Message in Bottle

For this task you will have to choose a quote from a list we're giving you. There will be 9 quotes, one for each one of you, and it will be first come first serve, so when you read this, choose and state in the topic your quote. And what do you have to do with the quote? Style it. Sounds weird, but what you have to do is take that quote, the feeling it gives you, and put that into an outfit.

Have in mind, that in here there's no description needed but is highly recommended, mostly because for us maybe some quote is telling us "adventurous" and for your is meaning "promotion at work", for example. You can give the interpretation you want, but make your outfit fit that quote and the optional (recommended) description.

HOW DO I SEE IT?

I think that here the explanation that you gives about your outfit is essential, because it is a super subjective task so it is important for the judges to understand what you feel with the quote and how you reflected that in your look.

FM-STYLE "Review": Cycle 13 - Task 2

TASK 2: Fur Elise

For the second task we are going to keep ourselves warm (sorry for the ones that are currently in summer) and wrap our dolls in fur.

There are no rules other than using at least 1 furry item so let your originality and creativity flow and surprise us with your outfit!

* The fur can be in any part of your outfit ;)

HOW DO I SEE IT?

I would personally emphasize both concepts: "own style" and "Christmas reminder". As the task gives a lot of freedom, I would create a powerful and elaborated outfit which reflects perfectly my style.

The Christmas thing is important because it is actually the "only requirement", so I would use something clear and concise so there's no doubt about it.

MY TRY

When I hear "fur" I don't think in winter, I think in party, glam and rock! A fur, for me, is a texture. That lets you play with another textures creating contrasts (sheer top, fur jacket, leather top, socks...).

I made this outfit for this concrete task, but trying to make my "outfit of the day" I ended up creating a new look with a fur, the "cute one" this time haha

Aaaaand... I read again the key words and I thought, let's experiment some more with the fur!

So now I wouldn't know which one I should choose... Maybe the last one, what do you think?

My super fave: B.E.A.T.K.A

I saw B.E.A.T.K.A.'s outfit it in her suite before seeing it in the cycle and it surprised me so much! My fave part is the matching print of the fur and bag, so interesting! And another thing I like is the flats, it's not much usual using them instead of heels, and look perfect with the socks. Amazing job!

My "runners-up": Andre1396, the_chuba and vousme.

I can clearly see Andrea's style in her outfit! Silver boots, sheer glasses and experimenting with the fur. Loving it!

In the_chuba's outfit I like the brown fur as a scarf around the arms, I think it gives a special touch to the outfit. And as I've said in "my try" part, furs give as the opportunity to mix textures, and that's something I can clearly see here! Also the hair and make-up are on point!

Finally the outfit from vousme is so elegant and the hair and make-up go perfectly with it. It's interesting the mix of the fur and skirt textures, and also the how she placed the fur!

FM-STYLE "Review": Cycle 13 - Task 1

First task is done and I have a lot of things to say about it!

TASK 1: Last Christmas

Christmas is here! 

For this first task we need you to show us what you got, what you're made of. To do so, we want you to create an outfit that describes a little your style. But, there's a requirement. You have to incorporate a Christmas reference in any way you want. That means using just christmassy colours, an ugly christmas sweater... Your choice, but it has to remind us of Christmas.

About my outfit, I love layering and that's something I do in most of my looks, so I had to do this here as well! Total black (and total white) looks are my faves, and it was perfect for this task because it goes perfectly with Christmas thing (red colour, bells and decoration). Also the outfit I've made would be perfect for a Christmas dinner, so everything fits!

Love the mix of textures and shapes here, how much personality it reflects and the little reminder to Christmas on those earrings, plus it is a perfect outfit for a Christmas dinner.

I like the elegance in B.E.A.T.K.A's outfit, the risk of the colours mix in leiona_-'s outfit and how cute are the outfits of ElenaGao2 and the_chuba!

I also liked a lot the outfits from strobarycake and Sweet_gal11, but didn't remind me much to Christmas.

FM-STYLE "Review": Cycle 13 - RELEASE!

New cycle in FM-Style club! YAAAAY!

First of all, for those who doesn't know what I'm talking about:

FM-Style is a Stardoll club created by Mireia (Mirdith) and Judith (Judith_25), two lovely and super stylish sisters, as you can see in their blog The Stylish Stardoll Sisters (SSS)!

The cycles are contests composed of tasks with eliminations where the participants have to style their own dolls the best they can according to the rules of each task.

Finally, there are 2 winners who get amazing prizes!

I know this club since a few years ago and I never get bored of it!

CYCLE 13

 I love participating in everything and as I didn't apply for this cycle, I'll be following, giving my opinion and making the tasks on my own, just for fun!

ABOUT THE JUDGES:

Something I like from this judging team is the different styles of each one. That's important to be fair with the points and the results.

This is how I see them: Mireia and Judith always following the last trends, Maurice (kickherout) true to his lady french style, Sia (bella98twilight) always on point with her elegant "bad girl" outfits and Lucy (SunnySidesSue) "who dares, wins!"

All of them have great things and I don't know Lucy much, but I think her style is the most similar to mine. Or maybe Sia's style too!

ABOUT THE CONTESTANTS:

There are a lot of new faces around here and it's great! I'm really excited to see their tasks!

I don't know some of them so maybe I change my mind in a few weeks, but here are my favourites:

THE OLD ONES: Andrea (Andre1396), Navi (vousme) and Stefan (Sweet_gal11). I'm so happy to see them again in the cycle, they never dissapoint!

THE NEW ONES: Monika (the_chuba), Beata (B.E.A.T.K.A) and Whitney (strobarycake). I know them from their suites in Stardoll and I have to say that I've always loved their sense of fashion, Can't wait to see their outfits!

THE UNKNOWN TO ME: I hearsay know Leticia (leiona_-) but never went to her suite and now I've visited it, I have to say that I really like her style! Furthermore, I had never heard about Alicja (alusiak123) but it's definitely one of my faves too for now!

MY TIPS:

I've participated in 3 cycles and from my point of view one of the keys is being ambicious in your looks. 

What does this mean? 

Taking risks (I think I repeated these two words like a million times when I was judging the cycle 11 hahaha). But I really think so, because you can complete the task going safe, but when your outfit has a surprise factor and make the judges say "wow!" you get lots of extra points! Just saying!

And that also keep people interested in what you're doing. I also want to say "WOW!"

Aaaaand that's all, these are just my first impressions of the cycle, we'll see what happens next!

FM-STYLE: Cycle 11 - Task 9 "Review"

This time contestants had to make an outfit basing in this text (written by Judith *.*):

"You could tell without knowing her that she was a confident independent woman. She walked everywhere like she owned the floor she was stepping on. She had never been an insecure person, she had never worried about others opinion. She didn’t have to pretend because she already fitted in. Her arrogance, her snobbishness, her pride emanated from every pore in her skin while a deep desire of disconnecting from her hectic life popped a little big through her clothes choice. She was who she was, and for an unknown reason people seemed to like her."

I think is not easy at all making an outfit basing in something as abstract as a text, but it tells a lot about how it should be. It's important to understand correctly how is the woman's personality, because that's what will define the look created, every phrase in the text gives you clues to know it.

Here are the key words to make a good outfit:

confident independent woman

never worried about others opinion

didn’t have to pretend

arrogance, snobbishness, pride

deep desire of disconnecting from her hectic life

people seemed to like her

So what I see is a woman with a strong personality who only cares about her own opinion, but wants to change her life (not her personality).

Judges we didn't have to make any outfit this time, but I made one so I'll post it here to show you my point of view in this task:

There were two contestants that, in my opinion, got the idea of the text:

Who decided to use bright colours in her outfit.

Both of them tried to show an independent and self-confidence woman, and they did great!

And next task will give the chance to come back to competition to a previous contestant, which is great!
