Shopaholic: Subcouture #2 - Supersize Hoop Earrings

Second post styling the new Subcouture collection, and today it's about the Supersize Hoop Earrings. I find really interesting to create a whole outfit basing on the complements.

I decided to use the same tones in all the looks, but each one says something different.

Shopaholic: Subcouture #1 - Oversized Pearl Trenchcoat

Yesterday I posted the Review of the last Subcouture collection and now it's time to style my fave items! One post, one item.

Let's start!

The Subcouture Oversized Pearl Trenchcoat is maybe the most sold from this collection, and I understand it because shape, graphics and colour are perfect.

I've seen a lot of outfits with this trenchcoat, and all of them matching it with white clothes. So I decided to add some colour and some contrasts, excepting for the look in the middle (I have to admit that nude and white tones look great with it)

FM-STYLE "Review": Cycle 13 - Task 4

TASK 4: Side to side

There is always this task where we make you use an item from Starplaza. To make it possible for everyone to do it in your suites we always select a starcoin item, that is accesible to anyone. This time the item is this:

In this case, some outfits tend to look alike so it is interesting to give it a different touch is some way.

HOW DO I SEE IT?

It is too easy to make a sporty look, or maybe everyone thinks that and a sporty look is the perfect choice... haha

Here the creativity is essential! Don't be conformist with your outfit, don't use the leggins as leggins. And if you do, don't go for a normal or basic look.

I just wanted to make a super cool outfit, and I like them both! But I think I would choose the blue one!

I couldn't choose only one, because each look has something that amazes me!

In the outfit from B.E.A.T.K.A the tights over the leggins are a great idea! And she also combined a perfect color palette and created a super sophisticated look with a subtil sexy touch.

In alusiak123's outfit the rock-indie, street, vintage vibes are so *.*! Hair, t-shirt, pants, shoes, suspenders... Everything goes perfectly with the leggins!

My "runner-up": Sweet_gal11

 This outfit is soooo great, love its vibes! But maybe a bit typical for these leggins... Still loving it!

Review: SUBCOUTURE

New SUBCOUTURE collection! Yaaay!

I'm a big fan of Subcouture because at first sight I'm always a bit dissapointed, but then I take a deeper look to the floors and then I find a lot of items that I like! 

(and then I don't know what to buy bc I want it all as always haha)

This time I hae mixed feelings, because I LOVE some items, and HATE the rest haha But in general, I'm happy with the collection!

ITEMS I HATE

The two first items have awful graphics, plus the colour and shape are also dissapointed. The rest are, for me, too extravagant and with wrong colours too, although the graphics are okay.

ITEMS I LOVE and bought

That bag is my suuuuper fave item from this collection! The colours combination is so *.*!

About the earrings... they are a "must have"!

I've been looking for a cute denim top for so long and finally found the perfect one!

That trenchcoat is the most sold items, isn't it? I love it too, and it is so wearable, plus the colour is beautiful!

The cap was in starcoins, that is a bi surprise with no doubt! A "must buy" for sure! And it is pretty cool!

And that black shirt is a basic with personality, so yes yes yes!

 ITEMS I LIKE and still want to buy

I've seen so bad comments about that skirt, but I have to say that I found it really interesting! And the same for the shoes, they are some "good girl" and vintage, and I want to give them a chance!

Quick advice!

When you combine different prints but in the same colour, add some bright colours with the complements to avoid making a boring outfit!

Also the background is important. I placed my doll in a black and white room, with plants of bright colours. Perfect for this outfit, isn't it?

FM-STYLE "Review": Cycle 13 - Task 3

TASK 3: Dark Times

For this task we give you not a fashion requirement but one related to the beauty and make-up world.

You have to create an outfit styling very very dark lips. Black lipstick it's preferable but if you don't have one, don't want to buy it and prefer to use your own clothes instead of doing the outfit in Starplaza, you can use the darkest shade avilable in the Beauty Parlor.

You have to make the dark lips look super cool and, as always, surprise us with an amazing outfit that goes perfectly with them.

Only rule: VERY VERY dark lips

For me that "VERY VERY dark lips" rule is really important bc it's the only requirement.

Black lips are very characteristic, they aren't the same as, for example, dark burgundy lips or dark purple lips. And they look amazing if you know how to match them!

HOW DO I SEE IT?

You can tackle this task in two different ways: you can make an unit with the lips and outfit, or you can create a strong contrast between the lips and outfit.

But the point is that if you remove the dark lips, the outfit has to be incomplete.

MY TRY

For my outfit I tried to create a harmony between dark and sweet. I got some vintage inspirations with the laced shirt, the cross earrings and silk dress.

The dark lips are necessary for this look, without them it loses strength and says nothing.

I love how the dark lips stand out over the pale skin and the minimalist look, matching as well with the nails and glasses. She looks cute and "good girl", but the lips give it power and strength.

Here the dark lips are definitely something necessary for the look to be complete. Also the casual street vibes are perfect for them!
